American Council on EducationAmerican Council on Education (ACE)

The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) provides educational courses, programs and certification.

Our courses are used worldwide in 2,500 institutions, including Cornell University, Johnson & Wales, Michigan State University, Purdue University, University of Delaware, University of Nevada Las Vegas, Indira Gandhi National Open University (India), William Blue College of Hospitality (Australia), Swiss Hotel Management School (Switzerland), and many other prestigious hospitality management schools.

To facilitate the accreditation process, EI has many of its course materials reviewed by the American Council on Education (ACE).

The American Council on Education (ACE) is the only higher education organization that represents presidents and chancellors of all types of U.S. accredited, degree-granting institutions: community colleges and four-year institutions, private and public universities, and nonprofit and for-profit colleges. This cross-sector membership enables ACE to serve as higher education's unifying voice.

Since 1918, ACE has provided leadership and a unified voice on key higher education issues. Through advocacy, research and innovative programs, ACE represents the interests of more than 1,800 campus executives, as well as the leaders of higher education - related associations and organizations.

ACE CREDIT connects workplace learning with colleges and universities by helping adults gain access to academic credit at colleges and universities for formal courses and examinations taken in the workplace or other settings outside traditional higher education.

ACE’s Center for Adult Learning and Educational Credentials offers a college credit recommendation service, known as CREDIT. Through this program, 13 American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (EI) courses have gone through a rigorous, judicious and reliable third-party evaluation process. Every aspect of the courses has been reviewed, analyzed and judged by qualified, objective college faculty. The ACE credit recommendation bestowed on these courses signifies that, through this process, the review team found that the learning outcomes of our courses meet those of accredited colleges and universities.

EI participates in the American Council on Education’s (ACE) Transcript Service. The ACE Transcript Service offers a lifelong record for students who have successfully completed our courses that have been reviewed by ACE CREDIT. This service enables adult learners to present a nationally recognized transcript to the college or university of their choice for the potential award of academic credit.

The Educational Institute is proud that our course materials are used by individuals and academic institutions worldwide and that our credentials have global recognition within the hospitality industry.
