Today's successful hospitality and tourism employees must have effective guest service skills in today's competitive market. They must be able to engage and connect with their guests to go above and beyond the call of duty.

The Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) designation provides recognition for those individuals who know how to deliver exceptional service by engaging with their guests and creating memorable experiences. Recognized worldwide, the CGSP®  designation is the highest acknowledgment of awarding-winning guest service for employees in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Successful candidates will receive a certificate and CGSP® gold lapel pin, to be worn on their uniform in recognition of their knowledge and skills in guest service.

To qualify for the Certified Guest Service Professional (CGSP®) designation individuals must successfully complete one of AHLEI's Guest Service Gold® training programs.

Individuals (self-study):  Purchase Guest Service Gold® training online with the certification exam. 
Select from:   Guest Service Gold® Golden Opportunities or Guest Service Gold® Making Connections (formerly Guest Service Gold®) or the NEW Guest Service Gold® Tourism

Classroom Training:   Group training requires the purchase of one of the instructor/facilitator Guest Service Gold® Training Programs, as well as participant packages (that include workbook and certification exam scan sheet), which are sold separately.

Please note:  The Guest Service Gold® online programs in English only include complimentary access to the TripAdvisor® Reputation Management for Front-Line Staff online course.  It is not included with Guest Service Gold®  Tourism or with the Spanish versions of any of the online programs.

    The CGSP® exam consists of 30 multiple-choice questions and candidates must achieve a minimum score of 70% to earn the CGSP® designation. Available online or print-based.
